1. First 5 Yolo Childcare COVID-19 Safety Net Funding Application (for Childcare Providers)

The CARES Act: Coronavirus Relief and Economic Security Act
First 5 Yolo has established a safety net funding application process for childcare providers serving Yolo County children 0-5 and their families who have incurred unanticipated expenses as a result of COVID-19. First 5 Yolo will accept applications on an ongoing basis through December 15, 2020 or until allocated funds have been expended.
All childcare providers (i.e., Centers, Family Childcare Homes, and license-exempt Family, Friends, Neighbors [FFNs] caring for a child other than their own) are eligible to apply and seek County CAREs Act funding for costs incurred related to protection and mitigation efforts as well as closure or partial closures which resulted from COVID-19 exposures at the childcare site.
The following funding is available based on the type of request and size of the childcare setting:
Closure or Partial Closure:
Center $3,000.00
Large FCCH $2,500.00
Small FCCH $2,000.00
FFN $750.00
Protection and Mitigation:
Any type of site $500.00
First 5 Yolo ha establecido un proceso de solicitud de financiación de la red de seguridad para los proveedores de cuidado infantil que atienden a niños de 0-5 años de edad del condado de Yolo y sus familias que han incurrido en gastos imprevistos como resultado de COVID-19. First 5 Yolo aceptará solicitudes de forma continua hasta el 15 de diciembre del 2020 o hasta que se hayan agotado los fondos asignados.
Todos los proveedores de cuidado infantil (es decir, centros, hogares familiares de cuidado infantil y familiares, amigos, vecinos [FFN] exentos de licencia que cuidan a un niño que no sea el suyo) son elegibles para solicitar fondos del condado bajo la Ley de Ayuda, Alivio y Seguridad (CARES). 2. First 5 Yolo COVID-19 Emergency Relief Funding Application (for Community-based agencies)
First 5 Yolo has established an emergency relief funding application process for agencies serving Yolo County children 0-5 and their families and childcare providers serving essential workers in Yolo County during the COVID-19 pandemic, pursuant to Resolution No. 2020-01: COVID-19 Response, formally adopted by the First 5 Yolo Commission on April 8, 2020. First 5 Yolo will accept applications on an ongoing basis through December 31, 2020 or until allocated funds have been expended. Download the Application below.
Ongoing Funding Opportunities
1. Event Sponsorship
First 5 Yolo is proud to help sponsor local events, trainings, and activities that focus on young children and families, and that align with First 5 Yolo’s Mission, Strategic Plan, Guiding Principles, and Priority Areas. Sponsorship requests of up to $250 will be considered toward support of the following types of activities that are offered in Yolo County: Community Events, Professional Development/Trainings, Family Education Events, and Fundraising Events.
