Collaborative Meetings

Program initiatives for First 5 Yolo are created through a strategic planning process by the First 5 Yolo Commissioners, which includes a process for community input. In some cases, these initiatives result in the development of community collaboratives to help guide the implementation of the initiative. First 5 Yolo highly values community collaboratives as a way to grant advisory roles and/or decision-making authority, when appropriate, to stakeholders and community members.

UP 4 WS Advisory Council
The Universal Preschool for West Sacramento (UP 4 WS) Advisory Council is the governing body of the UP 4 WS program, and it oversees and provides advice and recommendations to the First 5 Yolo Commission and its staff on matters related to the Universal Preschool Plan for the City of West Sacramento.

Children's Health Initiative (CHI) Coalition
The CHI Steering Committee is the governing body of the jointly administered Yolo CHI. It oversees and provides advice and recommendations to First 5 Yolo and Yolo County Children's Alliance on matters related to the program, product, policy and finance of the CHI.
