Staff Biographies
Julie Gallelo, MPH - Executive Director: Julie brings 15 years of experience in health service and community development to the Commission. As a health program coordinator for the County of Sacramento, she was responsible for managing the HIV/Communicable Disease Prevention Program from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, she directed community health services in the San Jose area, addressing many early childhood issues such as injury control and child abuse prevention. She earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Public Health from San Diego State University. She lives in Davis with her two daughters.
Regan Overholt - School Readiness Coordinator: Regan has been the School Readiness Coordinator for First 5 Yolo since September 2005. She studied Communications at California State University, Sacramento and has over 15 years experience working in non-profit program management, focusing on education, prevention and early intervention. She currently lives in Woodland with her husband and two children and is active in the School Site Council and PTA as well as the City of Woodland Commission on Aging and the Regional Breast Cancer Coalition.
Margaret Bacot - Chief Financial Officer: Margaret brings to First 5 Yolo many years of experience in finance, budgeting and government funding and reporting as well as strong ties to agencies benefiting children. Prior to joining the team at First 5 Yolo, she worked for six years for one of Northern California's largest private, social-service agency. She provided fiscal management support to programs serving thousands of children and their families annually. Margaret received her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. She studied the curriculum for accounting at Northern Arizona University where she was a student member of Beta Alpha Psi and the National Association of Accountants (NAA). She received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from National University. She is the mother of one son.
Jackie Hausman - Children's Health Initiative Coordinator: Jackie has a strong background in project management and program evaluation as well as direct services. She has a passion for working to ensure that all children and families have access to quality healthcare and social services. Jackie obtained a joint master's degree in Public Health and Public Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. She and her husband, Lee, are raising their three daughters in Davis.
LaTina Price - Administrative Services Analyst: LaTina has over 10 years of administrative experience in both the public and private sectors. She has been an employee of First 5 Yolo for four years and enjoys working with community members and local agencies who take to heart the well-being of our youngest children. She is a mother of two girls and resides in the Sacramento area. She holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University and received her BA in Human Development and Sociology from California State University, East Bay in Hayward.
Elena Enriquez - Administrative Assistant: Elena formally joined First 5 Yolo in September 2006. She is bilingual/bicultural (Spanish-English). Elena was born and raised in Woodland, CA and is still a Woodland resident. She currently is attending California State University, Sacramento where she is working on a bachelor's degree in Child Development.
